“There are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.”
Reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven has caused me to believe that coincidences do not exist. That we are all connected in life. For example, in the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Eddie pushed Amy out of the way to save her. Even though she was a stranger he gave his life for Amy. The book The Five People You Meet in Heaven states, “Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you’re not really losing it. You’re passing it on to someone else.” The commander said he sacrificed his life, so Eddie could save other people’s lives in the future. The commander happily gave his life to save Eddie, which in turn saved hundreds of other people’s lives. This proves we are all connected to one another.
The quote states, “That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.” This means that all life is intertwined with each other. An example of this in the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven is how Ruby, who died before Eddie was born, effected Eddie’s whole life. Even Joseph, the blue man, was connected to Eddie’s father since Joseph would occasionally play cards with Eddie’s father. In the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven the blue man stated, “Strangers are just family you have yet to come to know.” This statement claims everyone you know and do not know are intertwined through life’s webs. Through this the links of life are made.
