Pieces of The Puzzle

“That there are no random acts in life. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate the breeze from the wind.” To me, this means that everything we do, every word we say, has an effect. It may be miniscule and insignificant, or colossal and life changing. No matter what it is, everything has a consequence. None of our lives would be the same if one person were taken out. Though we may not know them, they have affected someone’s life, and that person another’s and so on. It is easy to believe we are insignificant, considering the size of the universe. It is easy to believe that if we never existed, everything would be just the same. These things are false. We think that we live not making a difference in the world when, in reality, we make all the difference. At one point or another, every one of us have affected someone else. Something as simple as a smile or holding open a door. Even a stillborn child can make a difference. We are all pieces of a puzzle and numbers of an equation. The puzzle can never be complete without all of its pieces and when one number is removed from an equation, whether it be 150 or .150, the answer of that equation will be different.
