Interconnectivity

Every action we take will have an outcome.  It could be big or it could be small, regardless of the size it will affect someone.  In the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven it states "That there are no random acts. That we are connected. That you can no more separate a breeze from the wind." A country at war will change its economy. A boy in school could have a bully start to beat him. A mother gets cancer. All of these problems happen and altars other people’s lives. 

When a country is at war it uses all of the power they have. Most of their resources go to the war causing a decrease in the work force and an increase of demand. Leaving the economy short of its necessities. War also provides experiences that a country can’t get during peacetime. For example during World War Two (WWII) women started going to work making money to provide for their family. Without the war people would not have grown as fast or as much they did. One country’s war will have a huge impact on its people and on the peoples of other countries. A war is what caused Eddie to leave and get kidnapped. Without that action he would not have tried to save a little girl in a fire. He would not have known how scarce supplies were even to the military he was fighting for who were taking most of the supplies.

No one likes having a bully. A bully typically means to make the victim look small and weak. This can make the person mad and retaliate or embarrassed and try to shove it off but feel disconnected when hanging out with friends. Because one or more people decided to be mean or had been given false information it affected someone else’s life. People can have a small or big control over your life if you let them. Eddie let is father have a huge control over him. He let him abuse him and follow in his footsteps.

When a mother gets cancer it will be a very sad and emotional time. Her husband will be loosing the love of his life as well as her kids who will be loosing a parent. Everyone will love her just the same. The extending family wants to see her before and if she dies. But once the mother has passed it is hard to recover. The father will have to learn how to care on his own. The children will have to learn to love someone who is not there. Cancer can have a devastating impact on a family. While Eddie didn't have children he still felt sad and lonely wishing for his wife to come back.

        People can add something to others lives with their actions. The action can be any size and leave any size worth of outcome. From hindsight they are all problems. They are all the same. Something happens and then it ends and everything is changed. For example “You can no more separate a breeze from the wind.” You can’t tell them apart from each other because they are both air going from one place to another while cooling anyone in between. Things happen for a reason, they test us to see how well we hold ourselves together. We are all connected in some way to help each other learn and grow.
