By Chance not Choice
The phrase “That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind,” means that everything in life happens for a reason. Everything that happens has a purpose. We are all connected in a way, whether you acknowledge that or not. Everyone has an impact on other’s lives. You could have an impact on a total stranger’s life, but there is a possibility that you may never actually know it. With that being said, I believe that we cannot govern our own lives. I believe that God governs our lives for us. For example, Eddie caused the “Blue Man’s” death by dashing in front of a Ford Model A vehicle that the “Blue Man” had borrowed from his friend. Eddie dashing in front of the vehicle led to the death of the “Blue Man” by causing a series of events, such as veering off roads, swerving in the vehicle, dodging other vehicles, and a fatal wreck. Eddie did not know the “Blue Man”, let alone did he know that he caused the “Blue Man’s” death. The quote “That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind,” is very meaningful to me. It makes me realize that our lives may intersect with others in ways we may not know, or in ways that we may not understand. Everything that you do causes something important to happen to someone else. It’s a constant concept around the world. We are all connected by chance, not by choice.
