Connecting The World

"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another that you can separate a breeze from the wind."

This means to me that everything we do can affect a lot more people than just us What we say or do to one person can affect many more. Even if we have never heard the person's name nor seen their face, we can impact their lives. We may not know it, but that person may remember us forever; or, they may not know that we have affected them. It is true, "there are no random acts," and this connects each and every seven billion of us. Maybe your best friend has a co-worker who has a friend that lives on the other side of the country or world. Somehow, in one way or another, we are connected. Whether we believe in the same God or same rights; whether we happen to find someone's wallet on the ground and return it to them. If we hadn't done that, the person's life may have been changed forever. A simple candy man can make a young girl's day. A teenager's favorite singer making eye-contact or pointing to them can give them hope, make their life. We will always be connected to one another. Different language, different country, different anything; we are associated with one another is some form or fashion. That is what "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another that you can separate a breeze from the wind" means to me.
