Intersecting Chains

"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."

This quote means that a single person's actions can effect everyone. Take a crime for example, whenever a criminal is discovered for murdering someone, everyone feels threatened. Parents begin to keep a better eye on there kids, people don't stay out as late, people don't wonder around mysterious places, people carry pepper spray on them etc.. Just from one act of crime, everyone now takes precautions. They didn't have to know who the guy was or where he came from. They are impacted. Some people don't think their actions can affect anyone at all. Another example, whenever someone litters, it sets an example. More people begin to litter and then it creates pollution. The objects flow into rivers and harm the animals, the substance seeps into the ground and kills the plants, the object emits toxins into the air and make it harder for us to breathe. Just from one toss of an object that is meant for the garbage can out a window, can affect everyone. Everybody affects someone with their actions, you never just hurt yourself even if you think you are.
