The Interconnectedness of Life

"There are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." This quote is very meaningful to me. It shows me that we cannot live our lives for just our selves. Everything we do connects to someone else, even if we do not realize it. Sometimes lives are connected in ways that are complicated to understand. In the novel, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, the Blue Man says,"...the human spirit knows, deep down, that all lives intersect. That death doesn't just take someone, it misses someone else, and in the small distance between being taken and being missed, lives are changed." When I thought about it, it made me think about life in a whole new perspective. I thought about how everyone's lives affect another persons life. The quote made me consider about the lives that I had changed without even realizing it. Every action creates an effect on something or someone. Some people underestimate the power of something small to potentially turn a life around. No action is random. It is all how it is supposed be. Even if you think something wasn't meaningful, it was. Everyone is connected together by a million little strings.
