Connections Between Us

"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."

This, to me, tells how our lives intersect in ways we may not realize. You might not think so, but everyone in your life affects you somehow. For example, in The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Eddie affects the Blue Man by going into the street, and the Blue Man, almost running over Eddie, swerves and dies of a heart attack. Eddie, at the time, had no idea who was in that car and probably thought nothing of it. In that moment, he changed the Blue Man's life forever.
Our lives are indivisible from one another. You cannot go through your life without affecting another. Things do not randomly happen. It all results from others' actions, and it impacts you indirectly. It can be the little things, such as someone buying the shirt you wanted, and you would have to wear something else. It could also be a more dire situation where you miss your flight, and someone else would take your spot on the plane. Later, you discover the plane crashed. You could have been on that flight, but instead it was someone you've never met. In reality, there are cause and effects between everyone, and things happen for a reason.
