The statement "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That are you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." means that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves. We often doubt our usefulness and think our lives are a waste of time but this saying nullifies that by pointing out that no matter how small an action we could change some ones life for the better or worse. I also think that this statement is trying to tell us to be careful because we could hurt someone without ever knowing it,but on the other hand if we stay positive and are kind we may help someone who is having trouble. An example of this could be Some coworkers get drunk and one the way home on crashes and is badly injured, this might make him have to take time off work and not receive pay so he starts to have financial trouble. Although he could have gotten drunk and asked another person to take him home because of this he arrives safely and might do a kindness for someone else, but this is only two of the many out comes there could have been and each one could have had different out comes and effect the people around him in different ways. This shows that one mans actions can effect another person, there Is another thing this prove no matter who you are you can make a difference.
Not everyone you meet will effect you though only those that you interact with will effect you,for example if you walk past a stranger and you have no inter action at all what ever they do will not effect you directly but It may effect you indirectly like if they bought the last video game in stock that you had been waiting for months to get. These are things we consider unimportant but our actions influence another's actions as well. Even children can impact people whether they mean to or not,for example if a child crys in the back of a car and the drive turns to check on it in those few seconds they could crash. Honestly I find it impressive that such small and seemingly meaningless actions can cause such a big impact on the world, though I do not enjoy the thought that a simple action of selfishness could hurt another person I would much rather face the consequences of my own actions than give them to another. This is why I believe "the five people you meet in heaven" by Mitch Albom was such an eye opening book, it showed me that i could either live happily and use my life to help others or i could tear them down. I think we should all try and make a difference to change the world for the better or else everyone will suffer.
