"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind."This quote from The Five People You Meet in Heaven to me means that there is a balance between life and death among people. For example, today a baby was born, and an elderly woman died. When a new life enters our world, another is taken. It is just a never-ending cycle of life and death. This also means that our everyday actions affect other people's actions. Everything you do can affect another person at any given time, whether that person is a stranger or friend.
For instance, a plane was delayed from take off because the pilot was late. Due to this pilot's actions, the preflight inspection crew determined a malfunction in the main engine. The late pilot's actions saved countless lives. We do not think our actions could determine something as major as saving someone's life, or something as minuscule as holding open the door for someone. You do not realize that every little thing you do can make a major impact on someone else. We do not think about how our actions, however minor they may be, could ever change the course of another person's life. We are all connected to each other somehow, in someway, at one time or another.
