"That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." -Mitch Albom The Five People You Meet in Heaven
Mitch Albom shares this philosophical quote that can be interpreted into many different meanings. They all depend on the person the interpretation comes from. To me, it has one clear meaning to it. I believe that Mitch Albom meant that every life in this world is connected in some way. There is no doubt that what we do affects many lives other than ours. Every so called "random act" is actually not random at all. God has designed all of our lives and actions to help and be compatible with other people's lives and actions. All of our acts are meant to be an assistance to other people that are in altercations and need a helping hand. It may seem random or small at the time, but what you don't know is that it may have a substantial impact on that person's life. This was God's grand design for every life on earth. There is no such thing as a random act. Whether we know it or not, we are being used to influence somebody else at almost every moment in the day. That's why Mitch Albom states that we are all connected. We all exist because two people started it all, ultimately connecting every single human life in existence. We were all created to socialize with other humans and aid each other when we get caught in binds. This is why Mitch Albom concurs that separating one human life from the other is relatable to trying to separate a breeze from the wind. It is ultimately impossible to do so because you cant see or touch wind. It is also physically and mentally impossible to separate one human life from another. This is what that quote in essence means to me and my beliefs.
