What it Means to Me

I interpreted the quote, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind,” from every individual sentence. The first sentence states, "That there are no random acts.” Mostly this is said as, "Everything happens for a reason.” These reasons can be for the good and for the bad but they never happen randomly.  All of these actions are connected.  This brings me to the second sentence of this quote that states, "That we are all connected.” A way that we are all connected is through our emotions. The things that cause these emotions may be different, but we still feel the same general emotions such as sadness and happiness. The last sentence states, "That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.” To me this means that one life is so much like another through the different connections that it’s hard to separate.  Like the connections of a family tree, the connections are inseparable. The connections between parents and children are just like the connection of a breeze and the wind. One occurrence makes the other and you can't change that.
