We're All Linked Together

In the novel The Five People You Meet in Heaven, it says, "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind." To me, this means that all of our actions and events that happen in our lives affect others in either a good or bad way. Even if we try to deny someone, we cannot because we are all connected. My grandfather passed away when I was only in first grade but he impacted me in many ways. I started playing guitar in the second grade and it turns out that he had left both of his guitars to me before I even started playing. He also left me two of his fishing books before he died and I hadn't even been fishing with him before. It is as if he knew me before anyone else could even guess how I would turn out. To me, this quote from the book really does mean something larger than life. Each and every person has had someone that impacted the way they turned out whether it was for the good or bad. It will always happen this way, it is just a part of life that we have to accept. Everything that happens has a reason behind it and I think the reason my grandfather left me those guitars and those books is because someone great up in heaven told him to. That is how I believe that this quote is truthful and what it means to me, that we are all connected and that there are no random acts.
