The quote, "That there are no random acts. That we are all
connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can
separate a breeze from the wind." from the book The Five People You Meet in Heaven has a lot of meaning to me. I believe
that everything happens for a reason. An action that one person takes can effect other people around us, even though we may not know it. I do not think things are random
because I believe God puts different people/things in our lives for a reason.
God can get us to cross paths, but our hearts and minds have to be open to whatever
and whoever comes into our lives. If we are too close minded, then we could
miss what is right in front of us.
A personal experience of mine,
that might be perceive as random, is how I got my horse. My horse Rex, is a one
in a million kind of horse and he is perfect for me. He was
"randomly" at my barn the same week that we were traveling to see
him. Rex ended up staying at the barn for me to test ride. He was the perfect
horse. Some may say it was random or coincidental that he was at the
barn the same day, but I think differently. I believe that it all happened for
a reason, and God put Rex in my life. Life is a journey and like Eddie, we all experience different encounters with people. We all go through different twists and turns in life that make us individuals. As we cross paths with other people, our interactions, as short as some may be, could make an impact on another person's life whether we know it or not.
